How long does it take to get approved for Copart? ›

During the three-step registration process, you'll choose your membership and upload your photo ID and any business licenses you have. Your documents will be processed in 1-2 business days, and once approved, you'll be able to bid and buy!

If the lot is not paid in full within 8 calendar days (including the day of sale), the vehicle will be relisted. The Relist Fee will be 10% of the final sale price with a minimum of $600.

The payment deadline is 3 business days, including day of sale (funds must be received on Copart account within the 3-day period). If not paid within the 3 days, a $50 late fee is assessed on each vehicle. The most reliable payment method for international buyers is wire transfer.

It's also three calendar days, not business days.

The storage fee can vary for each location. To avoid fees have everything ready to go. Such as your payment method and already select an auto shipper. This is a best practice to get the vehicle out of there as soon as possible.

You can drive a car directly off the lot if you have insurance on it and have access to dealer tags. Otherwise, we recommend you either have Copart ship it to your business address or hire a third-party transporter to bring it to you.

To bid more, you'll need to deposit 10% of the total amount you want to bid. So, if you wanted to bid $20,000, you'd need to make a deposit of $2,000. If you are a Premier Member, you only need to make a one-time deposit of $400 to bid up to $100,000 per day.

Copart reserves the right not to release any vehicle or vehicle title for any reason. H. Bids Entered. Once a bid has been submitted, it cannot be retracted, deleted, or cancelled.

Members who do not have a dealer, dismantler or Automotive Repair Dealer license on file will be charged sales tax on purchases made in California. The California Department of Motor Vehicles issues dealer and dismantler licenses.

As a buyer, you get an automatic $2,000 in Buying Power when you join Copart. This means you can bid on one vehicle up to $2,000. Basic Members have two options to get more Buying Power: Upgrade Your Membership.

Myth #1: Copart Has Hidden Fees

While Member Fees do exist at Copart, no fees are hidden from our Members, and the list can be accessed at any time. It is important for Members to educate themselves on which fees are relevant to them and what to expect before placing a bid on a vehicle.

Tools of any kind, including diagnostic code readers, are not allowed in the yard. See a staff member if you need assistance with a vehicle. As a safety precaution, please do not attempt to start a vehicle without a Copart employee. Vehicles cannot be test driven.

Once your documents have been verified by our Member License Team, you will receive an email letting you know that your account has been activated for bidding. Please note that it may take up to three business days for your documents to be processed and verified before you can bid.

We need to receive your documents BEFORE you can start bidding and buying vehicles. Once we have your documents, we should have them processed in 1 business day.

On Approval - Seller has reserved the right to approve the final high bid achieved during the virtual auction. Seller has until 8:00 p.m. PST one business day after the sale to approve the bid. The high bidder is obligated to purchase the vehicle if released by the Seller within the approval period.
